XPAntivirus alert – another rogue in the wild
XPAntivirus 2008 is one of fake security programs. Also you can find other names of this program: XP Antivirus 2009, XP Antivirus 2008 V2.5, XP Antivirus Protection, just to be sure that from now you will recognize that all these programs are the same. This program is truly similar to any other fake security programs. Program makers probably wanted to make it sound more seriously by naming their program XPAntivirus 2008. Because most people associate letters XP with Microsoft corporation. That’s why some people can think that this program is reliable. Some design elements of this program also have similar style with Microsoft. For example a round logo has four colors in it: red, green, blue and yellow. These are the colors of Microsoft logo. They are placed in different order, but it’s very hard to recognize this. Overall interface design of this program is appealing.
The program must be downloaded firstly and installed manually. This is slightly different, because usually users are advertised with pop-up windows to download these kinds of programs. The installed program is only trial version. It performs the scan and shows numerous fake threats. If you want to remove all the suspicious files, you have to buy a full version of this program. Obviously they try to fool you, because neither already installed program nor full version of it won’t help you. What is more the performed scan was fake too. The full version of program not only doesn’t fix the errors, but also you can loose you money when ordering a full version of it.
If you already bought it, remove it quickly. Of course sometimes is nearly impossible to remove it by yourself manually. So, you have to use XPAntivirus removal tool.
