Windows Defence is a fake antispyware program that works in exactly the same manner as Defence Center. The methods that Windows Defence uses for the infiltration are also the same – it spreads through Trojan viruses and is promoted on malicious websites.
Windows Defence usually enters computer system absolutely secretly. It is not one of the programs that ask user’s authorization in order to be downloaded and installed. Once inside, the application generates tons of pop up ads and security notifications warning that your system is infecting and recommending using special tools to prevent data loss. These notifications redirect to the website where you are offered to purchase Windows Defence as an antispyware program.
Besides, the application will run system scan by force every time the system is booted. The scanner will claim to detect a bunch of infections even on completely clean system. The reason of it is again to convince you into purchasing Windows Defence application.
