WinDefender 2008 – another officious anti-spyware application
WinDefender 2008 is a rogue anti-spyware. Usually this parasite is promoted as a part of Windows XP operating system, but in reality Microsoft corporation has nothing to do with it. Win Defender 2008 is installed by trojans, who are masked as video codecs on various malicious websites.
WinDefender 2008 performs fake system scan. Then loads plenty of pop-up windows with notices about system security risks and atoher infections. Mainly it is done in order to scare poeple. Scammers hope that scared poeple will buy their rogue software, because they present it as the only good protection for your system. Of course it’s not true. WinDefender2008 it’s not capable of locating or removing threats. You should remove this rogue anti-spyware application without hesitation.
