Win7 Guardian

Win7 Guardian is a new rogue that spreads simulating an update for Windows. When the rogue is installed it starts after each computer reboot. Win 7 Guardian starts scanning computer and displays a list of infections, which are actually just files with random names and their presence do not cause any risk. Win7 Guardian though states that they must be immediately removed. It suggests doing so by purchasing a license of Win7 Guardian.

The program also bombards you with fake security notifications stating about spyware detected on your system. Just like the scan results these notifications must be ignored. The only parasite that must be removed is Win 7 Guardian application.

Do not purchase this fake software as you will only waste your money on completely useless program. Instead remove Win 7 Guardian immediately after you notice it on your system.

Not only is it malicious and annoying, it is smart and fights for it’s survival. Getting to this page took several tries. Win7 Guardian kept blocking it and sometimes wouldn’t even let me connect to the internet. Today, it wont let me get my email. It grows more vicious daily. I was finally able to open this page and will manually remove it. BTW: Most of the links for removal take you to a download of a spyware removal tool. After downloading it, scanning the PC, and trying to remove the problems, you are then told you must buy the program. In my opinion, that is just as bad as Guardian asking for my money. I will remove it manually. The directions are also posted. If you are not familiar with the registry, find someone who is. Also, I scanned with Norton 360 and it failed to detect Win7 Guardian.
