What is SecureKeeper and how to remove it?
SecureKeeper is a rogue security program from the same family as SiteVillain and LinkSafeness. Just like its predecessors, Secure Keeper is pushed through the use of misleading online scanners and Trojans. Once SecureKeeper is installed on your computer it will be configured to start automatically when you log into Windows. While running, the program will supposedly scan your computer and list various infections but won’t remove then until you purchase the rogue program. Reported infections, though, are all fake and can be safely ignored. The only real infection you have is the SecureKeeper program and the Trojans that installed this malware.
Furthermore, SecureKeeper will flood you with fake security alerts and even impersonate Windows Security Center to make it look more legitimate and real. Don’t be surprised that your computer will run slower than usual because the removal application uses many PC resources. To make things even more worse, Secure Keeper will block anti-virus software and security related websites to protect itself from being deleted. There are no doubts that this application is a scam and must be removed upon detection. The best way to remove SecureKeeper is to use well known and trusted anti-spyware application like Spyware Doctor or SUPERAntispyware.
