Sysupd.exe is a malware process that has been discovered on September 7th 2004. Although it is not a critical process, it should be removed from your system as soon as possible after its detection, for sysupd.exe is installed and used by dialer companies in order to terminate your internet connection and start calling high-rate telephone numbers.
As far as sysupd.exe is also related to adware and is probably VirtuMundo parent process, it is highly recommended to remove it immediately.
