SiteVillain

SiteVillain is a rogue from the same family as LinkSafeness (WiniSoft malware family). This program is classified as a rogue because it uses false scan results, deceptive advertising and fake security alerts to scare you into thinking you are infected. Most of the time this malware is distributed through the use of Trojans that display fake security alerts stating that you are infected and that you should download and install SiteVillain to remove system security threats. Trojans usually come from misleading websites that pretends to be an online anti-malware scanners. When the fake scan is finished, it will state that your computer is infected and that you should install Site Villain in order to protect yourself.

When running, the rogue program will be configured to start automatically when you logon into Windows. The program will scan your computer and list a variety of infections. but won’t remove them unless you purchase thos bogus application. The reported infections, though, are all fake and are only being shown to scare you. This parasite will also impersonate  Windows Security Center screen that recommends  you to purchase SiteVillain. Last, but not least, you will also find that your computer begins to run slower. If you find that your computer is infected, please remove this rogue application from the system as soon as possible.
