Scareware AntiVirusPro
AntiVirusPro is the scareware, usually advertised as a commercial antivirus program. This rogue security tool belongs to the same family as AntiMalware Pro and trends to act in the same way as this malware works.
AntiVirusPro is known to distribute itself without any notice of the user with a help of Trojans that mostly infiltrate separately or as a part of spam e-mail attachments and other insecure files downloaded on the web. After unregistered version installs itself to the PC, it is configured to launch automatically when the user logins to Windows. Each system boot AntiVirusPro runs fake system scans and displays fake malware detection reports. The user gets usually astonished about the huge number of threats detected and is forced to make a purchase of the latest version of this badware. In reality, these threats do not exist and the user doesn’t have anything to worry about. If AntiVirusPro is installed on the PC, it should be removed immediately.
