SafeHardDrive - not as safe as it seems

SafeHardDrive is a rogue anti-spyware application and a fake spyware remover. It uses various misleading tactics to prove it’s non-existent legitimacy and has the goal to persuade the user to buy it’s “licensed version”.  Usually, this threat gets installed to your computer after a Trojan infection or when your browser security fails.

After infection, SafeHardDrive promptly starts to display fake security warnings and tries to scare you into buying it in order to fix the non-existent or greatly exaggerated errors. These fake error messages will guide you to the domain safeharddrive.com, where you‘ll be offered to purchase the latest version of SafeHardDrive. Stay clear from these offers and remove this pest ASAP if you’ve been infected.
