Red Cross Antivirus

Red Cross Antivirus is a rogue antivirus program that is distributed via Fake Microsoft Security Alert Trojan. The fake alert states that your system is infected with Trojan and you need to exterminate it as soon as possible. Then it offers purchasing an antivirus program in order to fix that. One of the suggested programs is Red Cross Antivirus which in fact is a fake program.

It only imitates performing system scan and later provides fake scan results. Moreover, when Red Cross Antivirus is running, you constantly receive fake security alerts when you try to run some of your legitimate program. The message states that the program you are trying to run is infected and you need a security tool in order to remove infections. Later on you are offered to purchase Red Cross Antivirus as a security tool.
