Protection Center

Protection Center is a rogue antispyware program that spreads on computers over Trojans and attempts to swindle some money away. It’s a clone of some other well known rogue programs, such as Data Protection, Digital Protection, Dr. Guard and others.

Once inside, Protection Center makes some changes in Windows Registry so that it could easily work on the system. Next follows tons of pop up messages displayed anytime and interrupting any computer activity. Besides, Protection Center often hijacks your Internet browser which causes regular redirections to the websites advertising Protection Center.

When the program is running it also uses a fake scanner and imitates performing scan. Then it generates a list of infections and tells to get a full version of Protection Center in order to remove the infections. You should ignore these scan results just like the pop up messages from Protection Center.
