ProtectDefender

Protect Defender is a new malware that pretends to be an anti-spyware program but in reality has the same tricks as most of fake anti-spyware programs. This application doesn’t require computer user’s permission to be installed. It usually infects computer with a help of trojans that hide under video codecs or flash updates that are downloaded in order to watch certain videos online. The Trojan then infects computer with ProtectDefender which makes computer user to experience various inconveniences. Some of the most annoying things are constant popup alerts, as well as, Windows Security Center notifications that warm about spyware detected on your system. The aim of these messages is to scare the computer user into thinking that he seriously needs to do something in order to ensure full computer protection.
The scanners run by ProtectDefender have absolutely the same purpose. The application generates falsified scan results that intensifies the anxiety of the user even more. Note that both scan results and security notifications are fake and doesn’t represent a real condition of your computer. You have to hurry up and get rid of Protect Defender as soon as possible.
