PrivacyKit
PrivacyKit is another rogue anti-spyware threat that spreads with the help of browser security exploits and malicious trojans. Its main purpose is to use misleading scare tactics in order to scare users to such a degree that they are prepared to purchase PrivacyKit in order to get rid of the errors.
These scare tactics are used in the from of numerous pop-up security notifications that state that your system has been infected with spyware. If you click on any of these pop-ups, PrivacyKit starts to scan your system for “errors”. The report of such a scan gives a list full of non-existent and exaggerated threats. Then, PrivacyKit offers you to buy its full version.
