Optimize.exe is a malicious file related to an advertisement program by Avenue media. It is responsible for monitoring the users online habits and distributing its observations to third party servers where they are to be analyzed. This allows the creation of personalized pop-ups. optimize.exe may also be part of Dyfuca, a downloader. As such its purpose is to download spyware/adware etc. on users’ systems.
Optimize.exe is a serious threat, the existence of which may lead to a wide range of consequences from the less serious slow computer performance to the highly detrimental theft of personal data. The presence of optimize.exe is dangerous, therefore it should be removed upon detection.
