New malware: Antivirus Plus
Antivirus Plus is widely advertised as a security tool, but in a real world it is nothing more but a scam and a malware.
AntivirusPlus is delivered by trojans. This kind of infections usually comes after downloading something from warez websites or p2p networks; the trojans may also hide under name of video codecs. Antivirus Plus may be installed manually as well.
Antivirus Plus may present itself as AntivirusPlus+ or Antivirus Plus+. It targets money, but it does it in a smart way, therefore many people are scammed. Antivirus Plus loads plenty of pop-ups that report viruses located on a machine. AntivirusPlus also offers purchasing full version of the program for deleting the threats. This strategy is fraudulent: there are no viruses on board except for Antivirus Plus. It isn’t capable of scanning a computer and it reports falsified viruses. Furthermore, Antivirus Plus is not an anti-virus, but it demands paying for using its services.
