LinkSafeness
LinkSafeness is a rogue anti-spyware program from the same scammers as AntiAID or SiteVillain malware. This program is promoted through the use of fake web sites that masquerade as online anti-malware scanners. These websites pretend to scan your computer and then display a screen stating that your computer is infected. This method is used very often, though, and has no ability to actually scan your computer. In other words that’s a scam. Do not install anything from such websites. Otherwise, you will infect your computer withLink Safeness rogueware and that’s bad news, because this parasite may seriously compromise your computer.
While running, LinkSafeness will display many fake and very annoying security alerts every one or two minutes. It will state that your computer is under attack or that Internet Explorer is compromise. However, the only real infection is Link Safeness itself. As you can see this program is scarewareware because it makes changes to your computer and then state these changes are infections as a scare tactic to have you purchase the software. No doubt, this malware must be removed as soon as possible. LinkSafeness files are listed below:
