IE AntiVirus - a new rogue
IE AntiVirus (also known as IE AntiVirus 3.2) is a new rogue anti-spyware program, which belongs to the same family as Files Secure, IEDefender and many other parasites. It is a fake spyware remover, which relies on trojans when infecting the system and also when trying to prove it’s legitimacy. Upon getting infected by IE AntiVirus, the user will receive a lot of fake threat reports in the form of popups and fake system notifications. This is done to create a reason for him to buy the “full version” of IE AntiVirus.
Do NOT download or buy IE AntiVirus - it’s a scam and should be treated as such.
