Hdrivesweeper – phony anti-spyware application
Hdrivesweeper is another product classified as rogue anti-spyware application. This parasite is also advertised as registry cleaner and performance optimizer, but actually it’s just another scam. The main purpose of this rogue is to scare users and steal money from them. In order to achieve this, Hdrive sweeper uses well known money stealing methods. Sadly, but it seems that those methods still work very well with inexperienced users.
Usually Hdrivesweeper is intalled wit a help of trojans. Once intalled and active, Hdrivesweeper performs fake scan and reports bogus information about various infections, security and privacy issues. This is actually a part of parasite’s plan how to scare user and make them believe that their computers are seriously infected. Then scammers claim that only Hdrivesweeper can remove all those infections and recommend to buy a full copy of this wothless produck, because trial version as usual has several limitations. It’s very important to understand that this is a fraud and ignore everything that was told or done. The best option is to remove Hdrivesweeper from the system as soon as possible after infection.
