eAntiSpy – product that must be avoided
eAntiSpy is another rogue anti-spyware application, fake spyware remover. The main goal of this parasite is to trick money from naive people using scare tactics and other similar methods. eAntiSpy spreads with a help of trojans, such as Zlob or Vundo, which are advertised as Video ActiveX codecs.
Once installed, eAntiSpy is configurated to perform automatic scan every time computer reboots. The scan results are of course fake. After the scan, eAntiSpy floods the system with pop-up windows and other similar alerts hopping to scare user and make him think that his computer is seriously infected. Then scammers suggest to buy a full copy of their rogue product, because trial version can only detect infections, but is unable to remove them. And this is nothing more then a fraud. Its is strongly recommended to remove eAntiSpy from the system as soon as possible after detection.
