Control Center
Control Center is a fake anti-spyware application, fake spyware removal tool. ControlCenter is classified as a rogue because it is advertised through the use of misleading web sites, fake anti-mawlare scanners and Trojans. If Control Center is installed, it will be set to start automatically when you logon into Windows. Once running, the program will begin to scan your computer and list a variety of infections that cannot be removed unless you first purchase the supposed “full” version of the program. The rogue program lists legitimate and necessary programs as infections or displays absolutely harmless files as system security threats.
When Control Center is running, it displays a fake Windows Security Center which states that you should purchase a license of Control Center. You will also occasionally see alerts stating that your computer has serious infections and privacy issues. All of these alerts and fake screens are being shown in oder to scare you into purchasing the software. Please ignore those fake alerts and remove Control Center infection from the system upon detection.
