carpserv.exe
carpserv.exe is installed with Zoltrix and Conexant modems. It enables the internal modem speaker, which allows you to listen to the dial-up process. This process is installed on notebook computers, and is required for the notebook’s modem to function correctly. This is a non-essential process, so, if you stop using your notebook’s modem, you can terminate this process. Carpserv.exe is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32. Known file sizes on Windows XP are 4608 bytes (99% of all occurrence), 182238 bytes.
