BlockProtector scareware

BlockProtector is a rogue anti-spyware application from the Wini family. Just like all the other rogue applications from this family, Block Protector is advertised and promoted through the use of fake online  scanners and malware that displays fake security alerts on your computer. Once installed, the misleading application will prompt you to pay for a full version of the program to remove supposed computer security threats and infections. In other words, BlockProtector is a scareware application that uses misleading methods to scare you into purchasing supposed full version of the program.

When running, BlockProtector will block anti-virus and anti-spyware applications, Task Manager, Registry Editor, disabled System Restore and hijack computer desktop and web browser (usually Internet Explorer). It will impersonate Windows Security Center and state that tour computer is without proper anti-virus protection. The rogue program will display fake security alerts and notifications too. Most of the time, those alerts claim that your computer is under attack by an Internet virus which is of course not true. As you can see, Block Protector is a scam, do not purchase it! You should remove this malware as soon as possible if your PC is already infected.
