AdProtect Description
AdProtect is a rogue anti-spyware application. Mainly, the rogue uses aggressive and misleading tactics, such as officious pop-up advertisements and fake system scan to convince the user, that his computer is infected with spyware, malware and similar parasites. Then, AdProtect requests purchasing a full version of this rogue if the user wants to remove those infections and to ensure further protection.
This misleading application is usually installed without user’s permission browsing noxious websites. Once active, AdProtect mimics real anti-spyware applications and performs fake system scan. Of course, scan results are horrendous. Ad Protect states that PC is seriously infected with spyware, malware, adware and other similar infections. The next step is by far most noxious for the user, because if he will decide to buy a full version of AdProtect for infectrions removal, he will simply lose his money without opportunity to recoup his payment. AdProtect is a scam and should be removed as soon as possible after detection.
